All manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word and formatted on A4-sized pages. Authors should use a clear, readable font, appropriate spacing, and consistent citation styles throughout the document. Non-compliance with these formatting standards may result in delays or desk rejection.
📝 Page Layout and Structure
- Document Size: A4
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Font: Times New Roman or a similar serif font
- Font Size: 12 pt for main text
- Line Spacing: 1.5 throughout (including references)
- Paragraphs: Justified alignment; first line indent (0.5 inch)
- Page Numbering: Bottom center of each page
The main manuscript should not contain author-identifying information. All submissions must be anonymized for the purpose of double-blind peer review. A separate title page should include the full title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and contact details.

Section headings should be clearly defined and consistently styled. The recommended structure is as follows:
- Main Heading – Bold, 14 pt, left aligned

All tables and figures must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and referenced clearly within the text. Titles for tables should appear above the table, while figure captions should be placed below the figure. Use concise and descriptive titles that accurately reflect the content.
Where applicable, source information must be provided below each table or figure. Avoid the use of shading or excessive formatting that may interfere with clarity in print or digital formats.
📚 Citations and References
JIBEP follows the APA (7th Edition) referencing style. In-text citations must be consistent with the reference list. Use the author–date format (e.g., Khan, 2021) and ensure that all references cited in the text appear in the reference section at the end of the manuscript.
The reference list should:
- Be alphabetically ordered by the surname of the first author
- Use hanging indents (0.5 inch)
- Maintain 1.5 line spacing
- Follow APA punctuation, italics, and capitalization rules
📥 File Naming and Submission Format
Manuscript files should be named using the title of the paper or a short version thereof. Example: Islamic_Banking_Risks_2025.docx.
